Face masks, shields and respirators

Many countries have been hit with a shortage of some very basic medical equipment, such as face masks, face shields and protective clothing.
Some of these shortages could be remedied by 3D printing techniques, others not so easily.
Having proper safety gear is such an important issue during pandemics and we think standards should be considered.
There is a number of resources available online on what those standards are and I think this is a good place to post links to them and discuss.

As a start, here is a link to the European Standards for Medical Supplies, that should have been made available for free by every country: ... s=disabled

You will see that it's a rather labyrinthine process to go through the whole process and try to find the necessary documents. Well what can you expect from a towering bureaucracy?
Anyway, it's a starting point if you want to know what 3D printed designs should be addressing to be effective and accepted in medical settings.

This page lists a number of initiatives and ideas worth looking into.
Prusa has also started some initiatives for face masks and face shields.

Design from KJ3d - Improved design for a face shield that relieves stresses and chafing on the wearer's head.
Note that this equipment is to be worn for long shifts and it is important to take ergonomics into the equation.
This design improves significantly on those issues:

Don't know much about these products regarding quality but I ordered a few safety face shields for my workshop. It seems fine, a bit of foggy sometimes while wearing mask but without mask its all well. A useful safety product i must say.

Do anti-fogging products work on these? like the ones that are used on motorcycle masks?
