Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Returns & Right of Withdrawal

Right of Withdrawal — General Rule

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers in the European Economic Area have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving their order, without giving any reason.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery by contacting us at: orders@spotamaterials.com or via our withdrawal form / button.

Important Exception — Sealed Goods (Photo-Reactive Resins and Materials)

In accordance with Article 16(e) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, once they have been unsealed after delivery.

Our resins and photo-reactive materials are supplied in factory-sealed bottles. These products are highly sensitive to ambient light — once a bottle is opened and exposed, the material begins to degrade irreversibly. For this reason:

Opened or unsealed bottles cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstances, regardless of the reason.
By placing an order for these products, you acknowledge and accept that the right of withdrawal is excluded once the seal is broken.

Returns of Unopened/Sealed Bottles

If you wish to return unopened, factory-sealed bottles within the 14-day withdrawal period:

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. We do not provide prepaid return labels.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
We reserve the right to inspect returned items and decline a refund if the seal has been broken.

Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned or refunded:

Any opened or unsealed resin bottles or photo-reactive materials
Products damaged due to improper storage or handling by the customer
Custom or made-to-order items (if applicable)

If you receive a product that is defective or damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. This is separate from the right of withdrawal and is governed by the EU conformity of goods rules (Directive 2019/771/EU).

Note for B2B transactions

The 14-day right of withdrawal applies exclusively to purchases made by consumers (individuals acting outside of a professional or commercial capacity), as defined under EU Directive 2011/83/EU. Orders placed by businesses, professionals, or legal entities acting in the course of their trade or profession are not subject to the statutory right of withdrawal. In such cases, returns and refunds are governed solely by the terms set out in this policy (unopened products, or non-conforming goods as described above).

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
